ABOUT THE HOST
Hi, I’m Leigh.
I’m the creator and host of Made of More—and I’m really glad you’re here.
I created Made of More because I know what it feels like to go through things that change you. I’ve had seasons of my life where I felt overwhelmed, misunderstood, lost, and unsure of how to make sense of everything happening inside of me.
And through those experiences, I learned something I wish I had understood much earlier: You don’t have to have everything figured out to deserve understanding, compassion, and a place to belong.
I wanted to create the kind of space I wish I had when I needed one. A space where we can talk about mental health without feeling like we’re sitting in a textbook. Where psychology can be fascinating and useful, but still feel human. Where we can have serious conversations, laugh at ourselves, tell stories, ask uncomfortable questions, and sometimes just say, “Okay… so it’s not just me?”
That’s what Made of More is to me.
Here, I explore psychology, mental health, personal growth, relationships, identity, and all of the wonderfully complicated things that make us human. I bring together research, lived experience, storytelling, humor, and a healthy amount of “wait, why does my brain do THAT?” to make these conversations feel a little easier to enter.
I’m not here because I have life completely figured out. I’m here because I’m figuring it out, too. And I believe there is something incredibly powerful about learning that you aren’t alone while you’re doing it.
My hope is that when you listen to Made of More, you feel a little more understood. Maybe you learn something about yourself. Maybe something finally clicks. Maybe you laugh. Maybe you cry. Maybe you hear something you needed on a day when you really needed it.
Whatever brings you here, there is a place for you in this conversation.
Because your story is bigger than the hardest things you’ve lived through.
There is more to understand.
More to discover.
More to heal.
More to become.
You are made of more. And I’m so glad you’re here.
